SoHo Apple Store wins architectural award

The Apple Store in New York City’s trendy SoHo district was among this year’s winners of the annual BusinessWeek/Architectural Record Awards. “Each year, BusinessWeek joins with Architectural Record, a sister publication at The McGraw-Hill Companies, to run an international contest that rewards distinguished architecture for its ability to meet serious business goals… The 2003 jury was extremely selective, giving awards to just 10 out of 168 entries.” Other winners included a childbirth clinic in Japan and the new Gannett/USA Today corporate headquarters in McLean, Virginia. The 2003 BusinessWeek/Architectural Record Awards are featured in the November 3rd issue of BusinessWeek (on newsstands beginning October 27th).
