Webroot Software today announced the availability of MacWasher X, a utility that offers Mac users a tool for privacy protection and system cleaning. MacWasher X gives users the ability to “bleach” files with secure overwrite capabilities that exceed stringent Department of Defense standards and clean popular Browser and Instant Messaging (IM) files. MacWasher X also offers a number of custom plug-ins to clean other popular titles such as Adobe, Macromedia and more. MacWasher X requires Mac OS X v10.2 or higher and is priced at US$39.95.
