SilverNetworks releases Spy v1.1

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SilverNetworks releases Spy v1.1

Houston, TX — July 2nd, 2003 — SilverNetworks today released a
significant update to it’s remote screen capture tool, Spy.

Spy allows you to run a server on your Mac, that when accessed by any
normal web browser, allows people to see a snapshot of your screen, as well
as information about your Macintosh. But it doesn’t stop there – they can
look at a normal static image, or they can look at your screen, live,
continously updated, in real-time! You can also choose which image format
you want to use – JPEG or PNG. Not only that, but the user can choose what
picture quality they want by manually specifying their desired
quality/depth and scale in the picture.jpg or picture.png request.

Other features include 2 built-in page layouts with custom layout support,
a detailed “Log Window”, a “Live Connections” manager that lets you see
everyone that is viewing your desktop live as well as disconnect any of
those users, an “External IP” window which displays your true, external IP
address, even if you are behind a router or firewall, and external file
serving via the built-in web server. Best of all, Spy is completely free,
and supports a wide variety of Macs.

Spy v1.1 adds the unique ability to list your Spy server on the Spy
tracker, located at
http://www.silvernetwork.net/products/spy/tracker.php. When this URL is
loaded in any web browser, a list of all the Spy servers listing on the
tracker are seen, and can be accessed. Other new features in Spy v1.1
include external file serving via the built-in web server, a Mac OS X dock
menu that makes frequently used commands even easier to access, a closable
Log window, Simple or Advanced logging choices, an External IP address
window, improved graphics, and many bug fixes.

You can download Spy v1.1 now for Mac OS X and Mac OS 7.6 – 9.2.2 by going
