Gefen today announced a new line of smart monitors that function as a video player, television and computer monitor all in one unit. Currently available in 18 (US$799) and 14-inch ($699) models, each display provides a radiation and flicker-free flat panel that maintains a 1280×1024 resolution. Each sports a video input for VCR or camcorder connection, a digital input for DVD players and a television tuner that requires a cable hookup or antenna. The monitors come with remote control, touch screen capability, built-in stereo speakers and picture-in-picture options.
