Apple today announced the release of Apple Remote Desktop 1.2, a new version of its administrative software for remotely managing Macs across a network or the Internet. The updated version includes new features such as Remote Software Installation and Remote Network Startup Disk. Apple Remote Desktop 1.2 sells for US$299 for the 10-client edition and $499 for the unlimited client version. Education pricing begins at $149 for the 10-client edition and $299 for the unlimited client version. Version 1.2 is available as a free update to existing Apple Remote Desktop customers via the Software Update preference pane.
