Emagic has announced version 6 of Logic Gold and Logic Audio for both Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) and Mac OS 9. The new versions of the music production applications offer many of the new features found in Logic Platinum 6, along with “a new level of processor efficiency and extensive enhancements to the Arrange window that offers more editing and mixing power than ever before. In addition, the update debuts two new setup and file management solutions — the Setup Assistant and the Project Manager. Users will also benefit from a superior sounding new Channel EQ and MP3 import/export functionality.” Both Logic Gold 6 and Logic Audio 6 are expected to ship in late April. Pricing was not available.
