FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New July event in NYC presented by IDG World Expo and Apple

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. and CUPERTINO, CA, March 26, 2003 – IDG World Expo,
producers of Macworld Conference & Expo, and Apple=AE today announced
CREATE=81, an industry event which will focus on technology and professional
solutions for the creative arts, including design and publishing, video and
music. To be held July 14-18, 2003 at New York’s Javits Center, CREATE will
offer an agenda full of the creative community’s best practices, including
new insights from cutting-edge artists in a wide spectrum of disciplines.

CREATE is an event for filmmakers, directors, graphic designers, broadcast
journalists, publishers, musicians, music executives, producers and others
driven by a desire to learn the latest creative techniques and to exchange
new ideas with their peers. CREATE’s in-depth conference program is
designed for beginners and experts, professionals and consumers – all those
who want to immerse themselves in creative arts.

“It’s time for a change, and time for an event which addresses the
increasingly tech-savvy community of artists, designers, directors and
musicians,” said Colin Crawford, vice president, business development and
operations, IDG. “We’re very excited about the new event, and hope the
creative community is looking forward to a different kind of learning and
networking experience with CREATE.”

“Apple has an amazing community of professional customers in the greater
New York area and we are excited to be part of launching a new event
designed specifically for them,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice
president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “We are working with IDG to help
make CREATE a new event where our pro customers can immerse themselves in
the latest technologies and solutions.”

CREATE’s educational programs, running all week long, will include one- and
two-day tutorials, two levels of conference sessions for
beginner/intermediate and expert users, labs and various feature
presentations – each with a different focus. The CREATE exhibit floor, open
from July 16-18, will feature products that complement the event’s
educational content and emphasize technology for the creative arts.
