Newsday: Mini PowerBook is big on amenities

“Looks to die for. Sleek aluminum casing. Powerful chip. nVidia graphics to drive a screen that’s delicious to look at. Ports everywhere. I’d sleep with one under my pillow if it was a little bit softer,” writes Newsday’s Stephen Williams of the 12″ PowerBook. “The best things about the new mini-PowerBook — what lifts it, beyond cosmetics, above the less expensive iBook series — are the dynamo processor and the keyboard. It’s actually the first Apple portable keyboard that has soul: Rebound action is precise, there’s plenty of travel in the stroke, and it’s non-sticky.”
