LaCie debuts new 20″ flat-panel LCD, 22″ CRT monitor

LaCie today introduced the new photon20vision, a new flat-panel LCD that offers 1600 x 1200 native resolution, “state-of-the-art” color accuracy, increased brightness and contrast, and rotating capability for Mac OS 9 that allows the display to be used in either landscape or portrait mode. The LaCie photon20vision ships with a metallic hood to reduce glare, an ADC to DVI adapter, an ergonomic desk clamp to save desk space, and an extendable arm to accommodate multiple users in a variety of workspace environments. Pricing has not yet been announced. LaCie also announced the electron22blue IV CRT display, which features a 20″ viewable area, a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536, a four-port USB hub, and flat aperture grille technology that provides a naturally-flat CRT and minimizes eyestrain. The LaCie electron22blue IV monitor sells for US$899, and ships with a VGA to VGA cable, and a color-enhancing blue hood to reduce glare and unwanted reflection.
