MySQL AB today announced that a MySQL binary installer in “.pkg” format, the standard for software installation on Mac OS X, will be available in February from the official MySQL Web site. The MySQL database is a high-performance relational database management system for Web site and business application development and deployment. With over 4 million installations, it is one of the most widely used databases in the world. The binaries may be downloaded from www.entropy.ch at present.
