Following Apple’s introduction of AirPort Extreme yesterday, the company has dropped the price of the original AirPort cards to US$79 ($20 off). The new AirPort Extreme Base Station is backward compatible with the original cards, but users will only achieve connection speeds up to 11 Mbps. The original AirPort cards are currently available from the online Apple Store.
