Sony introduces new five-megapixel camera

Sony today unveiled the Cyber-shot DSC-F717, a new five-megapixel camera that features, among other things, Carl Zeiss optics, NightShot and NightFraming, Hologram AF, pre-flash metering, and connectivity via USB 2.0 or 1.0. Another interesting feature is the camera’s improved start time of just over one second. The Cyber-shot DSC-F717 is due in October and will have a suggested retail price of about US$1000.
