Panic seeking users for Transmit 2 beta test

The folks over at Panic let us know that they are inviting users to test the beta version of Transmit 2, the next major update to its popular FTP client application. “We want to test Transmit 2 with a variety of FTP servers. And we want to make sure our improvements meet the needs of anyone who does a lot (or a little!) of FTP,” said Cabel Sasser, co-founder of Panic. Only a limited number of users will be accepted to the test, and the sign up page will only be available for a short time.

AfterTen Software updates WeatherManX Extras

AfterTen Software today updated WeatherManX Extras, its suite of two weather programs. WeatherManX.menu 2.2, is the latest version of its popular Mac OS X menu bar weather application. WeatherManX.saver, the company’s screen saver that shows current weather data, was also updated to version 1.1. Both updates address user reported bugs. The programs are available for Mac OS X, priced at US$5 for both.

Epson today announced the Stylus Pro 10600, its latest wide format printer targeted at advanced graphics professionals. The Stylus Pro 10600 uses the same high-speed print engine as the Stylus Pro 10000, allowing it to print images up to 231 square feet per hour using the printer’s fastest settings and approximately 72 square feet per hour when printing photographic output.
