Yamaha today introduced the CRW-F1ZEM, a Mac-specific version of the company’s internal CRW-F1 drive for use with Apple’s new dual processor Power Mac G4 with dual drive bays (mirrored drive doors). The drive offers 44x CD-R write speed, 24x CD-RW rewrite speed, and 44x CD read speed. The CD-RW drive also features 8MB of buffer memory, Safe-Burn technology, and Yamaha’s DiscT@2TM Laser Labeling System, which allows graphics and text to be burnt onto CD-R discs. The CRW-F1ZEM is priced at US$129.99, and includes Roxio’s Toast 5 Lite, Adobe Photoshop LE, and MusicMatch Jukebox.
