Glucose today updated WeatherPop and WeatherPop Advance, its popular Mac OS X utilities that display current weather conditions in your menu bar, to version 1.6.2, as noted by MacUpdate. The new version adds threaded data retrieval for faster searches and favorites display, fixes a crash related to race condition, fixes a sunrise/sunset bug for standard time, includes a workaround for “Please contact the administrator” for weather.gov, and adds new condition mappings for weather.gov. WeatherPop is freeware and WeatherPop Advance costs US$8.
