.Mac subscribers top 180,000

Apple today announced that more than 180,000 users have signed up for the company’s .Mac Web services since it was launched in July, with 80,000 of those users signing up since September 17. “The launch of .Mac has been a phenomenal success,” said Sina Tamaddon, Apple’s senior vice president of Applications. “And now we’re adding iSync support in .Mac, enabling users to synchronize their calendars and address books across multiple Macs connected to the Internet.” .Mac is available as a subscription-based service for US$99.95 per year. iTools members are being offered a special price of $49.95 for the first year if they subscribe before October 14, 2002.
