Apple among BusinessWeek’s worst boards of directors

Apple is listed among eight companies in the October 7 issue of BusinessWeek as having the worst boards of directors. The companies made the list for reasons such as “granting hefty compensation packages to flailing CEOs, having too many company insiders as members, and failing to notice or stop abuses that were happening under their noses,” according to Reuters. Gap also made the list, a company where Apple CEO Steve Jobs resides as a director. The other companies making the list were Conseco, Dillard’s, Kmart, Qwest Communications, Tyson Foods and Xerox.
