Report finds Apple CEO highest paid executive

The latest Executive Compensation Index released by the Economic Research Institute found Apple CEO Steve Jobs the highest paid executive for the second quarter of 2002, who received no salary but was given a US$43,511,534 bonus. The Executive Compensation Index tracks the total cash compensation for the highest-paid executives at a cross section of 45 major U.S. businesses, and examines whether or not executive compensation is increasing or decreasing faster than company annual revenues. Executives saw a 1.9 percent decrease in their total compensation in the survey period.
