I.R.I.S. today announced the IRISPen II for Mac OS X, which allows users to scan printed text, figures, bar codes and handwritten numbers and instantaneously input them to any application. The Executive version also includes a Text-to-Speech Module that allows audio checking of the recognized text. The IRISPen II connects via USB, and works with Mac OS 9 or higher and Mac OS X. The Standard version (US$129) and Executive version ($199) are both available now.
