MacMall today announced a kick-off event to celebrate the release of Mac OS X 10.2. The kick-off event will be held at PC Mall, Inc.’s retail store (also known as Creative Computers) at 1505 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, CA from 10 p.m. on Friday, August 23, until 1 a.m., Saturday, August 24. Mac OS X 10.2 can be purchased at 10:20 PM or later for $98.95 after mail-in rebate. Giveaways will also be raffled off to customers who purchase Mac OS X 10.2 at the release party.
