Blockbuster seeks to challenge Netflix

Facing pressure from Netflix, Blockbuster has quietly rolled out its DVD Subscription Pass in four U.S. cities, which allows customers to rent as many DVDs a month as they like, c|net reports. For US$19.95 per month customers can have two DVDs out at a time for up to 30 days each, while for $24.95 they can have three. Blockbuster is currently testing the service in Phoenix and New York City; the company would not disclose the other two locations.
