Board Director Levinson buys cheaper Apple stock

A new Securities and Exchange Commission filing reveals Apple Computer Director Arthur Levinson purchased 50,000 shares of common company stock last Thursday. Levinson bought the shares for US$14.87 to $14.90 a share and held 50,000 shares after the transaction. Levinson is chairman and CEO of biotech firm Genentech Inc., and was appointed to Apple’s board of directors on August 15, 2000. Apple’s stock price has fallen more than $4.50 in just the last month. The stock closed down 46 cents, or 3.18%, to $13.99 on Monday.
