Apple announces Dutch retail plans

Apple has announced that it will be selling it’s products in three high-profile furniture stores in the Netherlands, according to a report on Macworld UK. It was previously rumored that the company would be opening a retail outlet in Amsterdam, but this is not the case. “We want to show that an Apple product fits perfectly in a lifestyle environment and take it out of the IT corner,” said Ton van Garderen, general manager for Apple in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, in the story. High Tech Request will begin selling Apple product on September 1, 2002.
