July 15, 2002-Dearborn, MI-MacHack 17, the 2002 gathering of leading edge
developers, in Dearborn, MI, was a huge success. Despite downturns that
adversely impacted the rest of the computer industry, MacHack saw record
levels of new attendance.

Building on the success of 2002, the MacHack planning committee is pleased
to announce the dates for MacHack 18. As always, the conference will take
place in its traditional home of the Holiday Inn Fairlane in Michigan. In
2003, events begin at 12:01 AM on June 19 and run continuously until the
wee hours after the closing banquet on June 21.

Expect a robust technical conference as conference chairman Dave Koziol
leads his team of dedicated committee members to continue what has been a
solid tradition of technical sessions and hands-on programming.

MacHack includes technical sessions, academic papers and formal and
informal coding clinics throughout the 72 hour conference. In addition,
MacHack features a level of interaction and cooperative hands on coding not
found at any other conference.

Much of the activity focuses toward the MacHax Group’s Best Hack Contest
that is hosted by Scott Boyd, President of the MacHax Group. Expect the
usual gang to bring you some of the wildest programming displays around. No
one knows who will win until the votes are in.

All this and more will take place at MacHack 18, June 19-21, 2003. Mark
your calendars now.

Conference registration costs $425 (a $100 discount until 2/28/03) and
includes access to all conference events, 3 meals and the conference
banquet. Of course, attendance of the legendary Hack Show is mandatory.
Registration information and more information are available at the
conference website . MacHack 17 will take place June 19-21, 2003, in
Dearborn, Michigan.
