ViewSonic announced the world’s plasma display to break the US$5,000 price barrier with its 42-inch VPW425, which features an 852×480 resolution and a 550:1 contrast ratio. The company also introduced the 52-inch VPW505, which features a resolution of 1366×768 and carries a $9,995 price tag.
