Bare Bones Software today announced the release of Mailsmith 1.5.3, the latest version of the company’s email client for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9. This update incorporates several significant new features, as well as additional interface refinements and fixes for various reported issues. Mailsmith 1.5.3 introduces the ability to locate messages rapidly, based on their relevance to specified words or phrases. In addition, version 1.5.3 allows users to quickly create a new outgoing message with attachments by dropping the files (or folders) to be attached onto Mailsmith’s application icon; the addition of a new “(any address)” term to Mailsmith’s advanced query capability; the ability to transform displayed messages for easier reading, and improved notification of new mail arrival via the Dock on Mac OS X.
