Super-small CD-RW debuts

Archos Technology has introduced what they say is the world’s smallest CDRW — the Archos Cesar CDRW/MPM (Micro Power Management). The unit, which requires no power adapter, is circular in shape and measures just slightly larger than the CD itself. Under USB 2.0 and FireWire, the drive burns CDs at 8x, rewrites CDs at 8x, and reads CDs at 24x. With the PCMCIA interface, the drive speeds are 8x8x12x, and with USB 1.1 the drive operates at 4x4x6x. The Archos Cesar sells for US$249.95.
