WWDC: “Jaguar” details and more

During his WWDC keynote this morning, Steve Jobs previewed Mac OS X 10.2, code-named Jaguar. Among Jaguar’s features are iChat, an AOL Instant Messenger compatible application, QuickTime 6, new networking tools, hardware accelerated graphics (Quartz Extreme), an improved Finder, and more. Jaguar will be released in the late summer. Apple also announced that more than 3,000 applications are now available for Mac OS X. Finally, Jobs announced that on May 14 Apple will unveil a rack-mountable Power Mac server.
