Adobe, Macromedia head to court over patents

Adobe and Macromedia will square off in court today regarding rival patent infringement claims, as noted by c|net. In August 2000, Adobe filed suit against Macromedia alleging that the interface for Macromedia Flash infringed on Adobe’s patent for tabbed palettes. Macromedia countered with a lawsuit claiming Adobe’s Photoshop and GoLive products infringe upon two patents held by Macromedia.
