Square Box Systems today announced CatDV Pro 3.0, a new version of its media cataloging and video logging utility for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. Utilizing a client-server architecture, CatDV Pro Server runs on either Mac OS X Server or Windows 2000. New features include a central shared database of clips and logging information, an enhanced search dialog, Live HTML Publisher, support for QuickTime text tracks, and ownership and permissions to control access to the clip library. CatDV Pro 3.0 is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2002.
