Macromedia today announced Flash MX, the upcoming version of its software for creating dynamic and multimedia content for the Web. Flash MX boasts more than 45 new and enhanced features, including support for incorporating video, new graphic design tools, pre-built components and templates, a customizable ActionScript editor, and improvements to the timeline. Flash MX will ship March 15, with Mac OS X compatibility, for US$499. Upgrades will cost $199. The Flash MX player is slated to be released the day before.
