Company demonstrates entire line of database software running on Mac OS X

San Francisco, CA (MacWorld EXPO) — Jan. 7, 2002 — FileMaker, Inc.
announced it will publicly preview FileMaker Mobile 2 Companion for Palm OS
running on Mac OS X, using Palm, Inc.’s upcoming desktop software for Mac
OS X, for the first time at MacWorld EXPO, January 8-11 at San Francisco’s
Moscone Center (Booth #717).

Currently scheduled to ship in the first half of 2002, FileMaker Mobile 2,
designed to be the first integrated database for the new Mac OS X platform,
as well as Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Palm OS, is an easy-to-use
companion to FileMaker Pro 5.5 that allows a single user to transfer and
synchronize data between FileMaker Pro databases on Windows and Mac OS X
systems, and Palm Powered=D4 devices.

Many of the new interface enhancements within FileMaker Mobile 2 Companion
for Palm OS ranging from Pop-Up Menus, Resizable columns, Date and Time
picker and more — all designed to deliver even more of the FileMaker
database experience to the Palm OS user — will be demonstrated in
FileMaker’s booth.

MacWorld attendees will also learn how to complete their new Microsoft
Office v. X for Mac suite with FileMaker Pro 5.5 for Mac OS X at the
FileMaker booth. Microsoft Office v. X key applications, such as Word X,
Excel X and Entourage integrate directly with FileMaker Pro 5.5 for Mac OS
X, allowing users to leverage critical data in a number of extremely easy
ways.

FileMaker will also demonstrate the recently introduced FileMaker Solution
Framework, a set of free customizable professional business productivity
solutions (available at
(http://www.filemaker.com/collection/)http://www.filemaker.com/collection/)
for tracking and managing contacts, invoices, and products.

The FileMaker Pro product line will also be featured within Apple’s Mac OS
X Business Solutions Center.

be represented in the FileMaker booth by four FSA members demonstrating new
