4D WebMail Public Beta 2 Released

SAN JOSE, Calif., December 18, 2001 — 4D, Inc., publishers of the 4th
Dimension RAD/RDBMS Environment and 4D WebSTAR Server Suite, today
announced the second public beta release of 4D WebMail, a Web-based email
client. Built entirely in 4th Dimension, 4D WebMail beta is available today
from (http://www.4DWebMail.com/).

As a cross-platform browser plug-in, 4D WebMail is compatible with SMTP or
POP3 email servers and supports Virtual Hosts. 4D WebMail can be used from
any browser to read, reply, forward, send and file email. Easily
administered and customized, 4D Webmail contains a built-in address book,
search capability and file management. Users can send and receive
attachments, plus tailor their own mail formatting, signatures, and other
user information.
