Adaptec recently announced two new USB 2.0 products, the USB2connect for Notebooks, a US$99 PowerBook-compatible CardBus PCMCIA card, and the Xhub, a USB 2.0 hub available in 4- and 7-port versions. Pricing follows: 4-port hub, $79; 4-port hub with cable management, $89; 7-port hub with cable management, $139; knowing Apple’s FireWire is better: priceless.
