Yamaha introduces next-generation CD-RW

Yamaha today announced its CRW3200 LightSpeed3 CD-RW, a 24x10x40x CD-RW that boasts a number of Yamaha-exclusive features, including its Audio Master Quality Recording System, which improves the quality of audio CD burns; Partial Constant Angular Velocity technology, which keeps disc rotation speed constant, while adjusting thedata transfer rate depending upon which portion of the disc is being recorded to improve burns; and its SafeBurn buffer underrun control system. The Mac-compatible FireWire and USB 2.0 external versions of the drive will ship in November for US$329.95 and $299.95, respectively.
