Microsoft Office for X due in November

Microsoft today announced that it plans to ship Office for Mac OS X in November. The suite’s official name will be “Office v. X for Mac,” and it will sell for US$499. Office 2001 users will be able to upgrade for $149, while other users will be able to upgrade for $299. Among the new features found in Office v. X are several enhancements to Entourage, including “a refined, easier-to-use interface, improved support for Internet standards, and new features to help users manage e-mail and personal information.”
