Apple reportedly donating US$1 million to fallen rescue workers

MacCentral is reporting that Apple plans to donate US$1 million to the families of rescue workers who perished in last week’s devastating terrorist attacks. The company will also donate an iBook to each victim’s family that has children. The donation will be made through the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. It took Apple more than two days after the attack to acknowledge the action on its Web site, where a message still reads “Our thoughts are with those who were affected by the recent tragic events.”
