IBM today cut the price of its Microdrive by up to 32 percent. New prices for the drives are now: 340MB, US$199 (was $299); 512MB, $259 (was $399); and 1GB, $379 (was $499). The Microdrive competes with the flash memory market for storage in portable devices, such as digital cameras and MP3 players.
