Business Week: News, not results, drives Apple’s stock

Charles Haddad’s latest Byte of the Apple column for Business Week discusses Apple’s news-driven stock price, which has languished of late following lackluster Macworld Expo New York announcements and the announcement that no new products will be released at AppleExpo Paris next month. Haddad notes that Apple’s three significant product announcements this year — not to mention being one of just two PC companies to post a profit last quarter — would have been enough to bolster any other PC maker’s share price for the year.
