Apple is the 13th strongest corporate brand in California

Apple was the 13th strongest corporate brand in California in 2000, according to a study conducted by Corporate Branding, LLC, which rated 75 publicly traded companies headquartered in the state. At the top of the list is Disney, followed by Toyota and Honda, while Intel ranked seventh. Cisco is ranked 17th and Net scape, the only other tech company in the top 20, is 20th. “We expect to see some shifting in the scores for 2001 because many of the companies with the strongest brands are experiencing a difficult year. But the beauty of a strong brand is that it helps companies to weather the economic storm,” said James Gregory, CEO of Corporate Branding.
