3DLabs announces dual-Cinema Display card for PC

3DLabs has announced that a premium edition of its Oxygen GVX420 video card for PCs will soon ship as the first card on the market to support dual-Apple Cinema Displays. The card features 128MB of graphics memory, 256MB of virtual texture store, dual Glint R4 rasterizers and the Glint Gamma 2 processor, as well as two DVI ports and all necessary hardware to convert the Cinema Display’s ADC signal to DVI. While 3DLabs touts this solution as the first of its kind for the PC, no such solution exists for Macs, either. Pricing for the card is not yet available, although the standard version of the GVX420 sells for close to US$2,000.
