LaCie today launched two new FireWire tape drive backup products: an AIT+ solution that stores up to 70GB per tape and a DDS solution that can hold up to 24GB per tape. Prices for the drives are US$1,549 and $899, respectively, while cartridges sell for $74 and $17, respectively.
