Apple shuts down KidSafe iTools service

MacCentral is reporting that Apple has sent a letter out to customers of their KidSafe service informing them that due to low usage, the child Internet protection system is being shut down. “Apple encourages you to continue monitoring your children’s use of the Internet and to be active in preventing them from accessing inappropriate content,” the iTools team said, and suggested tools like Cyberangels or SurfControl as alternatives to KidSafe.
