Digitizing the Dalai Lama

When Joel Kuwahara’s Internet-based employer closed its doors, he ventured halfway around the world to Dharamsala, India — the location of the Tibetan government in exile. His mission — to help train Buddhist monks to archive and preserve the teachings of the 14th Dalai Lama. He used a 733 MHz Power Mac G4 and a 15″ Apple Studio Display to start work on the task, reports Apple’s Hot News page.
