The newest release of Tex-Edit Plus, 4.1.2, has improved on the features of the application including implementation of the External Editor Protocol. The External Editor Protocol allows Tex-Edit to act as a text editor for an ftp client. Tex-Edit Plus is a scriptable, styled text editor that fills the gap between Apple’s bare-bones SimpleText and a full-featured word processor.
