Tonos Selects QDesign to Provide Superior Audio Compression Technology for
Tonocorder

Culver City, CA and Vancouver, BC, Canada June 26, 2000 Tonos, Inc.
(www.tonos.com), the first online music insiders network, today announced
that they are licensing audio compression technology from QDesign
Corporation, the leading provider of advanced digital audio technologies for
the new media, broadcast and Internet delivery markets.

Tonos is employing QDesigns audio compression technology for use in its
newly launched Tonocorder. The Tonocorder, created via a strategic
partnership with Emagic, is Tonos Click-Sing-Send application, whereby
Internet users with microphones attached to their computers can record, mix
and create their own custom music and vocal tracks directly on the Tonos Web

the Tonos challenges. With QDesigns superior audio compression
technology, Tonocorder users will have a more user-friendly experience with
music files being decoded and compressed more efficiently, said Tonos
Executive VP/GM Justin Herz. In addition, our hitmakers, who review all
music submissions directed to our Web site, can analyze the music with more
scrutiny, due to the high caliber of audio quality.

Mandy Chan, Vice President of Business Development for QDesign. “Now anyone
can audition directly for the top talents in the music business with
unprecedented accessibility over the Tonos Network. We are very excited to
