Thursby Software Acquires CopsTalk Technology

ARLINGTON, TEXAS-April 26, 1999 –Thursby Software Systems, Inc.
(Thursby Software) announced today that it has acquired the
technology rights to the CopsTalk product line from COPS, Inc. of
Norcross, Georgia.

CopsTalk is a complete AppleTalk client implementation for Microsoft
Windows 95, 98, and NT that allows PC’s to join AppleTalk networks to
share files and printers. COPS had recently updated their product
line to support the latest TCP/IP implementation of AppleTalk.
Thursby Software is the maker of DAVE; a multiple award wining
Macintosh based solution for connecting Apple Macintosh computers
into Microsoft networks.

Bill Thursby, company president, stated that “Apple’s customers need
to coexist with the Microsoft networks that are becoming a standard
part of the infrastructure of most companies. Customers can now come
to a single company to solve their requirements. We are positioned
to provide the customer the best solution whether they prefer making
the Macs look like PCs on the network, or changing the PCs to look
like Macs.”

The new version of CopsTalk under the Thursby brand is expected to
ship within 6 weeks and will be available worldwide through Thursby’s
existing network of distributors and dealers. Major enhancements
to the product line will be made over the next twelve months to
ensure total compatibility with DAVE based systems.
