[MD1] BugLink v1.1 Upgrade Released

Press Release – BugLink v1.1 Upgrade Released

For Immediate Release

Glendale, California, January 4, 1998 — The PandaWave announced
today the release of version 1.1 of BugLink, and the release of
BugLink Solo, a single user version designed for shareware developers.

We are also pleased to announce our participation in the MacWorld
Expo in San Francisco with a sale. Customers who purchase either
product at MacWorld will receive a discount on both products.

What is BugLink?

BugLink is a bug tracking system for both the Macintosh and Microsoft
Windows 95/NT. BugLink consists of a central bug database and server
application, and clients which allow software developers and testers
download the bugs they are interested in.

BugLink Solo is a new product developed with the shareware developer
in mind. Featuring the same ease of use as BugLink, BugLink Solo is a
single user product, with the user interface and database engine
integrated into a single application.

What’s New In This Release

This update adds several new features to BugLink, including project
security and better query results. Numerous bugs were also fixed.

With project security, administrators are able to control which users
have access to which bug databases. Administrators may also control
what kind of access users have, controlling who is able to submit,
review, and modify bugs in a project.

User may now customize the results of a query, adding different
columns to the bug list such as the priority of the bugs in the bug
list. Users may also sort by column, and reverse the order of the
sort.

Along with BugLink and BugLink Solo, users now receive BugLink
Reporter, a stand-alone bug reporting tool which can be shipped for
free with the developer’s application. BugLink Reporter allows
end-users create a new bug report and e-mail it to the developer for
easy inclusion into the BugLink database.

Both BugLink and BugLink Solo are available now for download from our
web site at http://www.pandawave.com.

We are also pleased to announce our participation at the MacWorld
Expo in San Francisco in the Developer Central pavilion. Users who

pavilion will receive a discount.
