[MD1] Tango 3.1

For Immediate Release

EveryWare’s Tango 3.1 Allows Independent Software Vendors to Take Advantage
of “Run Time Solution” Capabilities

April 14th, 1998–San Francisco, CA–EveryWare Development Inc. (ASE:EVE)
today introduced Tango Enterprise 3.1 to the development community at
CNet’s Web.Builder Conference and Technology Showcase in San Francisco.

Using the Tango Enterprise 3.1 Application Specific Release, Marcus
Technology, Inc. in New York City can now build complex dynamic Web
applications quickly and efficiently for resale. In the past, Marcus
Technology, Inc. was faced with costly Application Servers for each resale
of an application. By using Tango Enterprise 3.1’s new ability to limit
deployment to a specific Tango Application Server the firm is able to build
a solution and market it to many customers in a cost-effective manner.
Marcus Technology’s premiere product, WebDLMS (Digital Library Management
System), gives customers the ability to access, retrieve and download their
digital assets–and it is all Tango driven. “Tango Enterprise 3.1’s ISV
support allows us to easily develop, deploy and maintain our WebDLMS run
time solutions,” says Irwin Marcus, President, Marcus Technology, Inc.

“This latest version of Tango shows EveryWare’s commitment to ISVs by
providing a feature set that will enable them to build cost effective
Web-based applications for resale,” says EveryWare Global Channels Manager
Mark Hadfield. “We have also addressed the needs of ISPs by allowing them
to provide their customers with a manageable Web development and hosting
environment.”

Now shipping, Tango Enterprise 3.1 also boasts a significant performance
enhancement on the Sun Solaris platform, further enhancing its ability to
handle high volume sites. Tango Enterprise 3.1 also provides ISPs with an
opportunity to offer customers dynamic Web development along with database
and application hosting in a manageable environment.

Tango Enterprise is a powerful Web application development tool that
enables professional Web developers and corporate IS departments to quickly
create complex business applications for the Web. Tango supports native
database connections, ODBC, and Data Access Language to integrate corporate
databases with Web servers. The open standards approach utilized within
Tango enables Web developers to also integrate existing business
applications written in C/C++ or Java, providing a cross-platform
application server enabling the integration of diverse enterprise systems.

Tango Enterprise has two components, the Tango Development Studio and the
Tango Application Server. The Development Studio enables developers to
build Tango application files that are then executed by the Tango
Application Server.

Since Tango first shipped in November of 1995, it has become the standard
Web development environment for over 6,000 Web application developers
worldwide, and has been recognized as the best tool on the market to
visually develop data-driven, Web-based applications. Tango has won a
“Best of Test” award from Internet World Labs and garnered 5 stars from PC
Computing’s March 1998 Ultimate Toolkits column.

Additional ISV’s using Tango Enterprise

Designscape Media Inc., San Francisco, California
Fred Carpenter, Designscape President, contends that Tango has “changed our
status and thinking.” An Information Design firm, Designscape is
“aggressively using” Tango to develop their own products as well as build
sophisticated web applications for their customers. “We are looking to next
generation web applications,” Carpenter says. “Never before have I
encountered a tool that allows us to design with very small barriers as
opposed to larger hurdles.”

Emergency Services Integrators L.L.C., Augusta, Georgia
“Tango Enterprise 3.1 has become a critical asset in developing real-time
mission-critical software. Our Web-EOC (a Web-based Emergency Operations
Center messaging system) handles multiple simultaneous requests from remote
subscribers seamlessly. The strength of Tango Enterprise 3.1 lies in the
fact that we can rapidly create customized versions of the Web-EOC, by
creating a base package, and allowing all customizations to be handled
through the database, ” says John Libby, ESI Software Engineer.

GIS, Vienna, Austria
Michael Grinner of GIS recently announced that his company is using Tango
Enterprise 3.1 to build out of the box solutions in areas of real estate,
auto sales and event listings for the European market. Specializing in
dynamic e-commerce sites, GIS also uses Tango to develop extensive
administrative capabilities in its applications, which allow marketing
managers to easily update and change sites to provide dynamic content.

Intersites, Geneva, Illinois
Intersites, which specializes in developing dynamic sites, has used Tango
to create its “Site Solution,” a browser based Internet and Intranet
solution for businesses that uses plug-in modules for business needs. Site
Solution offers approximately 30 modules including calendars, IS problem
tracking, ISO 9000 documentation tracking, and product catalogues.

Web.Builder Gets Bolero “Sneak Peek”
Scheduled to ship this month, Bolero is EveryWare’s new real-time
enterprise web site monitoring and analysis tool. Bolero will revolutionize
the way organizations collect, manage and distribute enterprise-critical
Web site information. Its scalable, open architecture is designed for use
in a variety of Internet applications ranging from a single corporate site
to an ISP hosting multiple sites handling millions of hits daily. Bolero
provides the information that Managers (Marketing, Business Development,
ISP Sales, Advertising, Promotional, IT) as well as CEOs, and CFOs need to
make effective business decisions based around their web applications. With
Bolero’s ability to identify unique site visitors and integrate data with
existing “Best of Breed” reporting tools, EveryWare has provided a solution
to the Enterprise’s need to create an information system around its Web
site channel. Bolero’s open SQL database approach also ensures that web
site data is integrated with other customer information and decision
support systems.

Bolero’s reporting system is browser-based and generates new interactive
reports with each request without the need to post-process hundreds of
megabytes or gigabytes of raw log file transaction data. This provides
users with up-to-the hour Web site information to assist with key marketing
and information technology decision-making. There are over 35 standard
reports (organized in four categories) included with Bolero to allow users
to begin their analysis quickly.

“Web sites can provide companies with an immense amount of valuable
information once they get their hands on it,” says Bolero Product Manager
Mark Amszej. “Bolero gives them the power to harness the data generated
from their sites and quickly turn it into reports that they can use for
strategic planning, marketing, sales and customer service.”
