HUTCHINGS SOFTWARE RELEASES RAPID-I(TM) BOOKMARKS

— New Internet component from leading component software developer —

DANVILLE, Calif., March 14, 1998 — Hutchings Software, developer and
publisher of innovative user component software, today announced the
release of Rapid-I Bookmarks, a product that redefines the concept of the
browser bookmark menu.

One year to the day after the demise of OpenDoc and Cyberdog, Hutchings
Software dedicates the release of Rapid-I Bookmarks to the engineers who
created OpenDoc and Cyberdog, other developers who wrote excellent OpenDoc
and Cyberdog products, and the growing legion of users who recognize the
power of component software and document centered computing. Hutchings
Software is truly honored to be able to write products incorporating the
most elegant software technologies for the most discerning customers in the
industry.

By seamlessly adding Cyberdog notebook capabilities and ease of use to the
Cyberdog menu bar, Rapid-I Bookmarks enables Cyberdog users to accomplish
more on the Internet with less anguish and more enjoyment than users of
ordinary browsers.

Rapid-I Bookmarks makes ANY Internet resource (web sites, FTP and news
servers, e-mail addresses, etc.) available from a single menu. Unlike
ordinary “bookmarks” menus in ordinary browsers, Rapid-I Bookmarks displays
a colorful and informative icon next to each bookmark in the menu, enabling
users to identify important Internet resources on site. The “paw” icon menu
title uses very little precious menu bar space, and makes a bold statement
about the personality Cyberdog users demand from their Internet software.

Taken from concept to finished product in just 4 weeks, Rapid-I Bookmarks
demonstrates why component software offers the most compelling product
development model available today. Input from Cyberdog newbies and fanatics
was sought from day one to ensure that Rapid-I Bookmarks would be powerful,
useful, and simple.

Rapid-I Bookmarks is available from the Hutchings Software web site for $10
(US). A limited demonstration version is available for free. Rapid-I
Bookmarks requires a 68040-based Macintosh computer or Power Macintosh
computer with 24 MB RAM, System 7.5.5 or later, OpenDoc 1.2, and Cyberdog
2.0.
